It is the goal of JRB Sales & Marketing to let our labels do what they do best… make music!

BDG utilizes the services of JRB Sales and Marketing Innovations. JRB is an independent sales and retail marketing company for the music industry headed by Jeff Brody who has over 30 years experience in the industry. JRB's goal is to provide sales and marketing services to independent Labels so that they can be competitive and succeed in the music industry. This will be accomplished by using the latest technology and our vast experience of working with the accounts and RED distribution company. This is unlike anything the music industry has to offer.

JRB's Retail and Online Sales and Marketing Services include:
  • JRB makes new release presentations to accounts, we play music and set-up co-op and field marketing plans.
  • Implement sales plans to coincide with distributors restocking program.
  • Make sure music is in all appropriate markets.
  • Set-up instore appearances with accounts and artists.
  • Report venue sales with SoundScan for artists when selling product on the road.
  • Check BDS and SoundScan weekly to ensure product coverage and to get a gauge for airplay v. sales.
  • Speak regularly with buyers stressing all new information about your product.
  • Make sure stock is always available in the depots.
  • Play your music and represent your label at N.A.R.M. and all yearly conferences attended by JRB.
  • Make sure your new releases do not get lost among the 50,000 new releases that ship each year.
  • Establish sales and field marketing plans 60 to 90 days prior to street date. This insures nothing is overlooked and that the title will have the proper set-up.
  • Discuss marketing plan, including price, co-op budget, targeted markets and execution with label.
  • Look over one-sheet for all pertinent information.
  • Hold new release meeting with distributor prior to solicitation.
  • Make sure that distributor's field staff is focused and has knowledge of your product.
