Rock 'n Retail has perfected the art (or "magic" as some Clients call it), of significantly increasing wholesale orders &consumer sell-thru at retail for new releases AND for Catalog CD's and DVD's. In the U.S. … AEC, Super D, Revolver, Choke, Carrot Top, Morphius, Forced Exposure, Galaxy, Baker & Taylor, Get Hip, Subterranean, Cargo, ATM &others. In Canada … Koch, Pindoff Distribution & Choke. Additionally we obtained at least 10 NEW Direct Accounts for our Clients. We also assisted our Clients in setting up new Distribution outlets in the U.S.
ROCK N' RETAIL SET-UP MORE FREE IN-STORE & ON-LINE POSITIONING & PROMOTIONS IN 2006 THAN EVER BEFORE.
On behalf of our Clients - at NO ADDITIONAL COST to them, other than our standard servicing fee, we set up In-store performances, Meet 'n Greets, Foam-core display boards, Listening posts, In-store play, DVD In-store play, guest lists, ticket contests, poster giveaways, bin card positioning, sale pricing, promotional giveaways, tour marketing, airplay marketing, print advertising, and inclusions in retailer e-mail blasts, newsletters & electronic internet promotions.
When Rock 'n Retail noticed Pere Ubu had a free day prior to an evening concert event, we initiated and seized an opportunity to plug in an In-Store performance at a Borders store. We reacted quickly & arranged an event with only 10 days lead time.
Here's what Border's District Marketing Manager said about our Smog Veil Records/Pere Ubu In-Store Event:

ROCK 'N RETAIL'S CUSTOMIZED HOLIDAY BLITZ REAPS OVER 478% SALES INCREASE AT RETAIL.
While most of our campaigns run a 3 month course, we also design custom campaigns to meet our Clients' individual needs. In some cases, we are hired to check compliance on Price & Position programs that are purchased; making certain our Clients get what they paid for - and providing them instant notification when compliance is not met.
Another example of a custom campaign is as follows: Morphius Records & Distribution hired us on December 8th, 2006 for a BLITZ (before the cut-off for holiday orders on December 15th), to market a 4 year old jazz catalog title. Rather than our standard 3 call, 2 mailing program, we customized a 1 call and NO mail campaign.
Here are the results for that campaign.…
- 5 day Blitz campaign
- We completed 86 stores dealing with Store Level Decision Makers.
(63 Borders &23 Barnes & Nobles.)
- We increased the overall units, on order, from 70 units to 341 - 363 units - an increase in overall orders of 478% to 519%.
- We increased the average units on order per store, from 0.81 to 3.96 - 4.22 units per store - a 488% to 520% increase of stock per store.
